![]() ![]() Yes, 1Password (and LastPass and BitDefender) are cloud based services. ![]() So, how do you all remember your passwords? The only time this failed me was when I had to use a site that didn't allow symbols in their passwords! (ya, wtf?) All of my passwords are slightly different and are complex enough to get around most password checkers. And one for any service I might end up sharing (Netflix, damned cheap ass in laws /s). ![]() I have one password string for work accounts. Because all I have to remember is the string and then insert letters I need. I haven't forgotten a password in 8 years. The underscores are reserved for the first two or last two letters of what you're logging into. Example: Code words: Stupid & Password Password String: $9S_tupid_Pas#3sword You create a break in the code word that acts as a place holder for the first letter of the domain you're logging into (or product name or whatever). The code words are just things that are easy to remember. Two symbols, two numbers, at least one capital letter, and two code words, with spaces reserved in each word as a place holder for a letter. And if possible I have clients use an authentication app. People just end up writing them down or leaving them in an unsecured "password manager" (I'm talking about a password protected excel sheet, not a legit manager). So, the biggest security risk in the field is requiring a hyper complex password that no one can remember. ![]()
